Are you saving to get sick or get rich?

Are you saving money to get sick?

I know it sounds harsh, but that’s what one of my aunt did. She was always reluctant to spend money on anything, even the basic necessities. She would always complain about how expensive things are becoming and how hard it is to make ends meet. She would bargain aggressively everywhere and refuse to pay for any services that could make her life easier.

She thought she was saving money, but she was actually affirming that she could not afford to cope with the changing times. She was stressed out, unhappy, and isolated. She had lesser friends and even relatives would not want to meet with her as she would only complain about things. she had almost  no hobbies, no joy. She was constantly worried about the future and never enjoyed the present.

Eventually she started to get sick very often, she had developed Dibetis because of her nature to not enjoy the sweetness in life. Also ended up with a lot of debts and more health problems that cost her more than she ever saved.

Now that I think about it, she had manifested it all herself. When we complain about how expensive things are becoming, we are indirectly claiming that we cannot afford it. We are in a way negating the resources we might have but refuse to see. We are attracting more lack and scarcity into our lives.

Instead of complaining, we should affirm that we are abundant. We should be grateful for what we have and what we can do. We should invest in ourselves and our well-being. We should enjoy life and share our gifts with others.

That’s how we can save ourselves from getting sick and create more abundance in our lives.
